An antique English, solid 9 carat gold chain necklace; fastened with a barrel snap clasp, and holding a shield-shaped 9 carat gold back & front locket pendant, decorated with engraved designs and a tiny pearl & turquoise floral motif. Pretty, collectible & wearable too! CONDITION : Generally very good. Slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Denting to most chain links & clasp – see pictures. One glass cracked, another missing (easily replaced). DATE/MARKS : Late 19th Century. DIMENSIONS : Locket 35 x 22 mm, chain 18 inches long (1 inch = 25.4 mm).
